North Okanagan residents will have the chance to test their target skills next month, as local shooting ranges open their doors to the public.
National Range Day takes place on Saturday, June 6, and three regional clubs are hosting free “try-it” events for anyone interested in learning about shooting sports.
The Vernon Fish and Game Club will host its free event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its range, located four kilometres up Noble Canyon Road in Lavington.
The Armstrong and District Fish and Game Club is hosting its own event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1428 Reservoir Rd.
The Lumby and District Wildlife Association will host a try-it day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2631 Highway 6.
